The challenges related to climate change are multiple and require measures at different scales. Not only innovative technical solutions are needed, but also effective measures at the political level as well as behavioral changes in society. During this academy, we want to address these issues from an interdisciplinary point of view by incorporating the ideas and knowledge of participants from different disciplines as well as invited experts. The students will work in groups with the aim to start designing creative solutions in key areas such as energy, transport and food.
At the end of the course, the students will:
- have gained a thorough understanding of the climate challenge and its determinants
- be able to assess a range of possible solutions to climate change
- know how to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives towards climate solutions
- have reflected on what it takes to implement strategies for low-carbon behavior, and how this can be linked to viable business models
- have engaged with like-minded students and hence be energized to shape a climate-positive future
