Global Negotiation Conference on Deep Sea Mining – Navigating the Depths of Negotiations
The Institute for Global Negotiation is hosting the Global Negotiation Conference on Deep Sea Mining from 7 to 11 July 2025. Participants will not only gain a deeper understanding of an urgent global challenge, but will also have the opportunity to strengthen their negotiation skills.
Would you like to strengthen your negotiation skills in the context of a urgent global challenge? At the Global Negotiation Conference 2025, participants will explore the topic of deep sea mining, as well as the depths of diplomacy.
Participants can expect intensive workshops with experts from politics, law, science and business, practical insights into negotiation and mediation, the deepening of intercultural skills in an international environment, an excursion on Switzerland’s role in international politics – and, as a highlight, a full-day multilateral simulation.

Target group: Beneficiaries of the Swiss Study Foundation in advanced Bachelor’s studies or in Master’s studies (max. 4 beneficiaries)
Registration: Registration is possible either individually or as a team (2-3 beneficiaries of the Swiss Study Foundation) directly through the Institute for Global Negotiation, which will also select the participants. IMPORTANT: Please mention the Swiss Study Foundation as your organisation when applying.
Costs: The Swiss Study Foundation will cover the conference costs and accommodation costs incurred.
